“Take the best and make it better, then it’s just about good enough.” – Peter Suchy, founder of Clearaudio
This quote from Peter Suchy is not just his personal philosophy; it’s also the philosophy of Clearaudio as a whole.
Suchy is always searching for the next improvement – the next level of evolution. He’s not content to follow trends, but prefers to create them and set new standards. His ethos is reflected in Clearaudio’s constantly evolving range of products. Every single one of them, from the smallest connector to the most complex turntable, incorporates two key characteristics: innovation and quality.
Clearaudio’s wide and ever-growing range of products is no accident. Right from the start, back in 1978, Clearaudio decided to offer a complete range of products needed for excellent analog music reproduction. Within the first year, they were the first company in the world to use boron cantilevers for their phono cartridges! Clearaudio hasn’t stopped innovating since.
At Clearaudio, innovation happens at many different levels: ongoing technological invention; constantly striving for more intelligent use of materials; developing new processes that enable them to achieve what hasn’t been achievable before.
Clearaudio doesn’t look to see what other companies are doing; they look to see what’s still possible; what’s just beyond their current reach… and that is where Clearaudio sets their goals.
Quality means excellence in design, engineering, craftsmanship, and using only the best materials. To ensure Clearaudio achieves this level of quality every time, all of their products are hand-built in their factory in Erlangen, Germany. In fact, almost every part that goes into a Clearaudio product is made in-house. Where outsourced parts are supplied by our partners, most are located in Germany and certified to the highest standards.
Clearaudio is very proud of their team of highly qualified designers, engineers and precision mechanics. In-house production methods enable Clearaudio to consistently reproduce a high level of quality across their full range of products, from phono cartridges to record cleaning machines.
Throughout the design and production process, Clearaudio continually listens to, tests, measures and documents their products’ performance, both acoustically and technically. In fact, Clearaudio even designed new measurement techniques and equipment to meet their standards, which are considerably above average.
For the love of music:
Clearaudio is very much a family business with the next generation of the Suchy family, Robert, Patrick and Veronika, at the helm. Together, they all share their father Peter’s love of music, commitment to quality, and ongoing desire for perfection.
Clearaudio has been setting new standards in analog reproduction of music for over 30 years, and they fully intend to continue doing so. Today, you can find Clearaudio products in more than 70 countries worldwide. The market for vinyl records is alive and growing, and the Clearaudio family shares a common goal to refine, optimize and further develop their product range.
Clearaudio. Loving music.
